Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical and Wellness Exams: Conduct thorough physical examinations to assess a wide range of conditions. Implement preventive care strategies to maintain optimal animal health.
  • Surgical Procedures: Perform routine and non-routine surgeries, ensuring the highest standard of care. Pre-surgical evaluation and post-surgical monitoring are integral components of this responsibility.

  • Chart Completion: Diligently complete patient charts within 24 hours of examination, ensuring thorough documentation of visitations, treatments, and recommendations.
  • Staff Supervision and Mentoring: Play a key role in supervising and mentoring veterinary support staff, including veterinary technicians and assistants. Foster a positive, educational, and professional work environment.
  • Clientele Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, loyal relationships with clients. Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to client service at all times.
  • Continuing Education: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance professional growth and practice standards.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of West Virginia or the ability to obtain licensure upon hire.
  • Demonstrated experience in small animal general practice is preferred.
  • Strong surgical skills and diagnostic acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on compassion and client service.

Customer Service Representative

WHITE HALL ANIMAL CLINIC —  CSR JOB DESCRIPTION

Customer service representatives at White Hall Animal Clinic should have a basic knowledge and comfort with animal care as well as good interpersonal skills. 

Clinic duties are not limited to this document and expectations may be adjusted as deemed appropriate by DVMs employed by White Hall Animal Clinic. 

The customer service representatives at White Hall Animal Clinic will be responsible for the duties outlined below:  

  1. Answer phone calls professionally and direct client questions to appropriate staff as needed.
    1. Technician questions

Veterinary Technician & Assistant

The veterinary assistants and technicians at White Hall Animal Clinic will be responsible for the duties outlined below and are always under the direct supervision of a licensed veterinarian.  Clinic duties are not limited to this document and expectations may be adjusted as deemed appropriate by DVMs employed by White Hall Animal Clinic.

Veterinary assistants have responsibilities similar to those of the registered technicians as well as those of the receptionists.  Many of the responsibilities outlined require training.

 

Technician and Veterinary Assisting:

 

  1. Office and hospital procedures, client relations and communication

      1. Schedule appointments and help triage patients according to client, patient and clinic needs via phone, in person, email or other electronic or digital means.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Thoroughly clean and disinfect cages, kennels, and animal holding areas multiple times a day. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic floors, walls, and animal care equipment.
  • Animal Care: Provide basic care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising. Monitor animals for signs of distress or illness and report any concerns to veterinary staff promptly.
  • Client Interaction: Greet and interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner. Assist with animal drop-off and pick-up, providing information on the pet’s stay as required.
  • Responding to Feedback: Actively listen and respond to constructive criticism from supervisors and colleagues to improve performance and contribute positively to the clinic environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or work permit.
  • Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
